The unit is BRAND NEW and has never been installed! EPC manufactured 25 of these controllers last November for an OEM in South Africa. They wound up only purchasing the first 20, so we still have five controllers remaining. Original wholesale price for these controllers was $2,380 USD.
This is a VERY heavy duty controller, designed for vehicles in the 4,000 to 6,500-pound range. It will maintain 90+ MPH on the highway and can easily climb even the steepest grades. The controller rated for over 1000 amps, and will handle up to 370 kW (500 horsepower) with only air cooling! Continuous rating is 135 kW. Design to run on any battery pack from 24 to 210 volts. Can also be factory-modified for up to 360 volt operation.
This is a 100% IGBT-based controller (no MOSFETs or transistors) that runs at over 97% efficiency and does NOT require liquid cooling. Controller will automatically detect your throttle, motor, and battery pack voltage. There is no setup required… simply connect and go!
These controllers are also available for local viewing or purchase in our showroom located at 25 Wareham Street (The Electric Vehicle Store). We also installed one of these controllers in our company test vehicle — you are more than welcome to come by for a test drive. The performance of this controller is on-par with controllers in the $3500 to $4000 price range. Even on a 5000-pound car, the 0-60 mph acceleration time is usually under 4 seconds!
